not a review citrus tart.
"Heya Del,
Just a first impression on the citrus tart (left it sitting for 2ish weeks)
Its very interesting flavour. Not like any of your offerings that i have sampled so far. I say interesting as i cannot decide what its like, not that I mean its bad, its just very very different and I'm not really sure what my tastebuds are sensing...
I assume you want honest feedback and I'm by no means a hoity toity juice or wine reviewer who can properly express what i'm getting and i'm just gonna give u my attempt at translating what im tasting to text in an attempt to help you see if you hit what you were aiming for or not so here goes:
I find it hard to discern too much custard, its definately there in hints and I think its a good level... too much might be overwhelming.
The pastry doesnt come through at all for me and I like this as, as you probably know i cant handle too much biscuity / pastry base in a juice. Thats just me, it turned the Strawberry Cheesecake into a treat rather than an all day vape even tho i love the flavour. Anyway... back to the citrus tart. >.>
The Citrus ! This is where it boggles my simple mind. Theres a touch of orange, a little lemon and something else... Something almost floral. I have no idea what it is. The way the fruit melds with the custard IMO is spot on. It almost creates a texture in my mouth.
Overall, Its fruity and "floral" refreshing and unoffensive. Its like nothing i have tasted before and i like it. It wasnt what i was expecting and is almost more like a Citrus fruits in custard rather than a tart (which suits me to a tee :P)
Would i buy it as it is ? Yes it intrigues me. Probably in a 10ml to try more....
What crackpot theories do i have that might make it better ?
hmmm, by no means an expert but i could go a bit more tang from the citrus. Although that might destroy the balance with the custard... ohgawd i dont know ! lol
I will keep using it over the week and give you some more feedback when it runs out.
I hope this sort of feedback is useful and what you want out of giving out the development juices.
Note from Del : Yes honest feedback is what I'm looking for. It helps us decide if a flavour is ready for release or not or we just go back to the drawing board. Thanks Sik!"
